Warm greetings to all our students, staff members, alumni, academicians, industrialists, Govt. Officials and all other stakeholders!!
Stepping to 136 years…… the time runs and we, the runners are continuously dedicating towards shaping the students and community to achieve global competence. The Incubation Centre, ICIE has already started its journey last year with the pin-pointed objective of entrepreneurship development.
The Govt. of West Bengal has been kind enough to offer an opportunity to create Satyendranath Tagore Civil Service Study Centre, SNTCSSC, in this college as the District Study Centre for civil service aspirants. Eleven (11) add on courses have been conducted for improvement of student competencies in job markets. The College offers University affiliated Certificate Courses on Computer Application and on Communicative English free of cost. Started in 2022-2023 academic year the Cine Club of our college with the objective of zestful screenings of the legendary and choicest of Indian and International cinema is a colourful addition to the vibrant cultural landscape of A.B.N.Seal College to promote moral and intellectual progress and consistency in the audience, specially the students. We believe that such multifaceted and diversified student support activity along with different time worthy programmes organized by Career Counselling Cell and Continuing Education Cell will certainly enlighten the students for confidence building in their professional career.

As an output of basic curricular support, the students elicited excellent academic performances in the University final semester examination and also cleared All India level Entrances for Post-Graduate Studies in different pioneer Institutes with commendable ranks in JAM, TIFR Bangalore, CTET etc. The number of NET qualified students from our PG departments is also noteworthy. Many students got employment both in the government and the private sectors with their potential efficiency. Not only students but also the Faculty improvement is another major responsibility of the college. From the college, initiative has been taken to publish all the pending volumes of Victorian Journal of Arts during the pandemic.04 teaching faculties have been awarded PhD degree from different Universities/Institutes. Remarkable contribution towards community outreach programmes by NCC cadets and NSS volunteers are very frequently occurring phenomenon. Several collaborative programs on community outreach in association with district administration are being conducted. Responsibility shouldering with community through observation of different awareness programs remained the major extension events throughout the year. Our IGNOU centre facilitated community mobilization through ODL to
access mass education.
Cultural performance along with sports also remained praiseworthy. Various activities to mark the completion of 75th Independence year were organized with profuse stimulation and enthusiasm by all section of people with celebration of different occasion like World Environment Day, Pochishebaishakh, BasantaUtsav, Krishti and many more.
We are grateful to the Department of Higher Education, Govt. of West Bengal for continuous guidance and funding to sustain and improve the physical and intellectual resources of this age old premier academic Institute. The century old pioneer institute has been recognized as Potential Centrefor Excellence by UGC and accredited with Grade A by NAAC. We just entered in NIRF since 2019 with a high hope to enter within100 top ranking colleges in India in near future.
