The primary aim of a Mentor-Mentee cell in an educational institute is to facilitate a structured and supportive system for the mentorship of students. The main objectives include:

• Academic and Personal Support: To provide academic guidance and personal support to mentees, helping them navigate their educational journey more effectively.
• Mentorship: To assign experienced mentors to guide and mentor students, offering insights and advice based on their own experiences.
• Holistic Development: To foster the holistic development of students by addressing their academic, personal, and professional needs.
• Goal Setting: To assist students in setting and achieving their academic and career goals.
• Problem Solving: To address any challenges or issues that students may face during their academic journey and provide solutions or referrals to appropriate resources.
• Emotional Support: To offer emotional support and a safe space for mentees to discuss their concerns, anxieties, and aspirations.
• Enhancing Communication Skills: To help students develop effective communication skills, which are crucial for their future careers.
• Feedback Mechanism: To establish a feedback mechanism where mentees can provide input on their mentoring experiences, enabling continuous improvement.
• Community Building: To create a sense of community among students and mentors, fostering a supportive and collaborative educational environment.
• Career Guidance: To provide guidance on career choices, job placement, and further education, helping students make informed decisions about their future.
• Overall, the Mentor-Mentee cell aims to enhance the overall educational experience of students and empower them to reach their full potential by offering personalized guidance and support.

The learner of this century old prestigious pioneer institution, Acharya Brojendra Nath Seal College,may come across difficulties during their courses and have to face academic as well as adjustment challenges. To enable them to excel in academic and profession as per their potential by handling such problems, a Mentor-Mentee Programme of the institution has been developed since 2018.
Now, to give this programme a structural organisational set up as per UGC recommendation. The Mentor-Mentee cell is founded in 2020-21 academic session with a vision to extend support and guidance to the learners for the betterment of their academic and professional carrier and thereby contribute towards nation building.
Upon successful bridging the gap between the teacher and the learners it becomes instrumental in blending the harmonious relationship between the learner, his/ her family and the institution at large.
Hope this Mentor-Mentee cell will definitely create an atmosphere of conviction, confidence trust and faith in the prestigious institution.
