Aikyashree

SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME FOR MINORITY STUDENTS:

  • Students belonging to minority communities i.e. Buddhist, Christian, Jain, Muslim, Parsee & Sikh are eligible to apply for various Scholarship schemes to provide different scholarships – Merit-Cum-Means, Post Matric, Pre Matric and Talent support stipend (TSP) for poor and meritorious students.   • Go to www.wbmdfcscholarship.in  and click on New Registration option and continue the process. State Govt. has launched state minority scholarship scheme named “Aikhyashree“. There are two existing schemes named TSP and SVMCM.

Kanyashree Prakalpa (K1 & K2)

SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME FOR FEMALE STUDENTS:

  • All girl students, across all boards (HS/ISC/CBSE) who are 18 years of age are eligible for a one-time Kanyashree grant of Rs. 25,000/- during their graduation course.

  • Girls who are not yet 18 are usually eligible for the K1 grant.

  • Such girls who have not applied for Kanyashree Prakalpa grant during their school years also may apply for this grant, if eligible by age.

  • No income bar.

  • Applicant has to be a domicile of the state of West Bengal.

About the Scheme:

Eligibility:

  • Girl students studying in Post-Graduate courses in this State in regular class mode.

  • Passed Under Graduate course with at least 45% marks in aggregate from any Institution in this State.

  • Residents of West Bengal

Swami Vivekananda Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship Scheme

About the Scheme :

  • To assist the meritorious students having annual family income not exceeding Rs. 2,50,000/- in the State of West Bengal for pursuing higher studies.

  • to give scholarships at different levels of higher studies, at educational institutions based in West Bengal.

Eligibility:

  • 60% marks in the last qualifying examination for Higher Secondary or under-graduate courses

  • 53% marks in Honours subject for Post Graduate courses General Education

  • 55% marks in Graduation for Post Graduate courses Engineering Education

  • Annual family income less than Rs. 2,50,000/-

  • Students must be resident of West Bengal

  • Not applying in any other Govt. scholarship.
